April 21, 2025 (Columbus, OH)…Sharon Speedway has been known in recent years for pushing forward the local sprint car landscape. Beyond regularly paying the most for regular events, which grew to a minimum of $4,000 to win for all sprint car shows last season, the Hartford, OH oval was also the first in the area to standardize group qualifying. The trendsetting will continue as the 3/8 mile Sharon Speedway gets set to host Round #4 of Western PA Speedweek on Saturday, May 31st.
The Saturday night affair at Sharon will commemorate the fifth anniversary season of Western PA Speedweek’s triumphant return in 2021, and easily becomes the highest paying race in recent Speedweek history with $5,000 earmarked for the winner! Other highlights include 2nd place increasing to $2,000, and 3rd place growing to $1,500, with additional money spread across the top eight positions. The overall purse for Sharon’s speedweek race is seeing a year-over-year increase of nearly 12%. The full purse can be found below.

AJ Flick from Apollo, PA took the checkers as part of his three-race weekend sweep in 2022. Hometown hero, NASCAR veteran and former World of Outlaws series champion Dave Blaney won in 2023 to claim his only career Western PA Speedweek victory.
